Dr. Slater specializes in general medical and surgical dermatology, including complex medical dermatology, for patients of all ages. As a fellowship-trained dermatopathologist, he also diagnoses skin diseases under the microscope, which complements his clinical practice. He has authored research articles in multiple areas relating to both skin cancer and inflammatory disease, and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Prior to medical training, he was a high school teacher, drawing from his studies in Classics at Princeton. He lives locally with his wife and two daughters. In free time he enjoys hiking, attempting to garden, and resting with family and friends on Sundays, and he maintains an interest in linguistics.
